As a Marriage and Family Therapist, couples often do not consider the possibility of therapy during or after the process of divorce. For some couples, one or both may be viewing divorce as a sign that “therapy didn’t work” and thus take the step to end sessions with their couples therapist. In some cases, this might make sense, but in many, there is an alternative possibility.
